Upcoming Events

This post is so my mom knows where I am:

This Friday until next Monday - FL!!!
6/2 - 6/5 - Lynchburg VA for an event with The Fun Company
6/7 - GT Crew Alumni Happy Hour at Moes & Joes? See the GT Crew Alumni Link to the left...for some reasons I'm currently not making my links work with Blogger. This happy hour will be serious competition with trivia, but we'll work the kinks out
6/9 - 6/12 - Donaville or Doraville, KY...can't remember the exact name of the town. Another event for work.
6/13 - coaching camp at AJRA begins!

Sarah and Will Wedding Pictures

sarah and will afterwards, originally uploaded by ARichards.

Well, it's been five months, but I've finally posted pictures from Sarah and Wills wedding. Sorry it took me so long Sarah. Visit www.ajrichards.com to see all the sights. There are some GREAT shots. Fabulous shots. I was very tempted to put a pictures of Sarah and me for this post, but again, doing the right thing got to me. I hate it when that happens. The newleyweds are cute enough for all of us. Oh well...

Travel & Such

Last weekend was SC and Tybee Island (Jim & Kat's wedding - very nice)
This weekend is FL for memorial day
Next weekend is somewhere in VA...I think. That is not firmed up yet, but I will know soon.

Hopefully this new job will take me to parts of the country where I can meet up with old friends, old pals, & old amigos. If that happens, you'all can stop by to see the party we put on for these companies. I'm allowed to bring a few quests, just need to let the company know in advance. When all the dust get settled from training, I'll know where I'm going at least 3 weeks in advance. So that is lovely.
OH, a lot of you are asking about my new job. Yes, the company is actually called The Fun Company. We have a few mottos, some of which are:
- Your Fun is our business
- Our life is a picnic
- It's not rocket science...it's a picnic

We take things pretty seriously. The website is www.thefuncompany.com if you are still interested. So that's it. Until the next post!

Wristband Challenge

The wholesome awesomness of all that is the 2004-2005 Novice women (now the NEW varsity women) have developed some sort of challange amoungst themselves. It is so fetch. These are such ferocious young chaps. Their ability to foster friendly competition and modulate good tiimes throughout the simpliest of plastics has always captivated me.

Cheer them on at: http://www.gtcrewwomen.blogspot.com/

Whoever keeps their Dad Vails wrist bands on the longest wins. I'll place bets in a few weeks. I'm putting the whole mortage on you Beth. Don't let me down.

Hello Friends

Did you think I left?

Not Ree Is Me! I've just been away from the desk job. Well, not only just away...I'm gone. So updating this might not happen as often - but it will happen!!! So don't leave me for some other blog-bitch that updates every day. I'll still be just as fabulous, just maybe once a day vs. three posts a day.

Yes, there was free frosty's last weekend (see last post). Sarah T and I got TWO when we were in Philly for Dad Vails. We had such a memorable day together. Coffee, walking, H & M, running the steps of the museum, walking, the farmers market, walking, oh yeah - and sweet races at the Dad Vail Regatta. It was f-u-n.

So tonight is my first night out on my new job. My new position is an Event Manager for The Fun Company. We plan corporate picnics. I'll be a regular carni by the time this training is through. It's been great so far. We'll see. I do know how to make cotton candy now. That, and plan the set up and flow of a 6 hour event for about 7,000 people. That's the average size of an event. This weekend I'm in Greenwood, SC. Next weekend - Clearwater for fun with the friends. The weekend after that - who knows - but somewhere with The Fun Company, where life is a picnic...literally.

K, this was more of a group e-mail than a post. Just wanted you'all to know that I didn't disapear.

Thank Melissa for this one

FREE FROSTY WEEKEND!!

Yes, Wendy's is giving away free Junior Frosty's as a thank you to customers who supported them after and through the embarrassing incident in California where a women allegedly planted a severed finger in a bowl of chili (crazy people out there). Limit one per customer per trip. Go as many times as you can from Friday May 13th through Sunday May 15th. Make sure to say thank you, but apparently that is not required, though it should be.

Nothing

Life has been busy, but it seems as though nothing has been done. I'll outline life lately for you here. If you don't care and just want to skim, just see the words in all caps.

- BETH AND CRAIG got married last Saturday. We all forgot cameras, but don't worry - everyone was looking ggoooooooddd.
- MOVED all my stuff into Morningside...but it's still in boxes.
- Team Awesome got third at TRIVIA last night. I actually took part in answering some of the questions. It was a good night.
- Signed up for the ATLANTA FLYING DISC CLUB Summer League. We should get a sponsor. Willy's? Stool Pigeons? Maybe that can be yet another project to add to the list.

The NEW JOB starts Monday. Maybe I will have more interesting news to claim then.
This weekend is DAD VAILS, so I'll be up there coaching our novice women. GT has 9 boats and two defending golds to reclaim.

Future blogs will contain info regarding Dad Vail stories, the new job and the new house I'm living in. So keep checking...

If you went to that link you could fill out a form to win advanced movie screening tickets to Wil Ferrill's new movie. Well I won my own post and will go see that movie this Weds night. Three cheers for me. I'll let you all know how it is.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

One night at Cheers, Cliff Clavin explained the "Buffalo Theory" to his buddy, Norm.

"Well ya see, Norm, it's like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine! That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers..

Remember "I" before "E", except in Budweiser.

Good Friends

JimWillSarah1, originally uploaded by ARichards.

Well, I'm back. The weekend was nice. Everyone seems to be doing very well. Jim got to see the Interpretor, I got to eat chicken quesidilla's twice, Will and Sarah got to sleep in, Bon Jovi let us rock all night long, and we all met the fockers.

It's nice to be home, but it's time to start packing and begin the move. 4 years of living in the same house and being a pack-rat may come back to haunt me...
