JORDAN KNIGHT

That's right ladies. You heard me. Jordan Knight is playing at East Andrews upstairs on Friday, April 1st. I actually looked it up and put on those links encase you though this was an April Fools joke, but it appears to be true. Problem is, tickets cost $13 in advance and $15 at the door so nobody is going. Are you a JK girl? I'm not. Though I did go to an NKOTB concert in third grade with my friend and her dad. They were just plain old "New Kids" back then. I remember, Dad let me out of the house wearing "jellies" - you know - the things that killed when you got one little rock in them. Anyways, I guess running around an amusement park all day and then going to a concert at night is not the sort of thing a third grader should wear jellies to. I lost one of them on a ride and only had one shoe for the rest of the day. I came home only wearing one shoe and thought it was awesome. Mom didn't think so. That I remember pretty clearly. Just getting to hear Jordan belt out "Please don't go girl" was totally worth it though. Not that I could see them. We were much too short to see much from the lawn.

So there was a little sliver of my childhood for you. Pretty rockin' huh? I could post a pictures of Jordan to make this post a little more interesting, but it's just not worth it.

Office Excitment

I know. This title is an oxy-moron...but it's true. There was a big wreck outside our windows just one-half hour ago. 3 cars involved, and 1 car caught on fire!! I'm talking the front bumber melted off and the doors fell off. The flames got to the front half of the car and were really tall. Everyone was ok so we got to enjoy watching flames decimate their car. I'm not sure if I used that word correctly, but I'm trying to expand my vocabulary. The more you know the more you grow. So that's my news. It was great. People came out of the bushes and were like "accident, woah, I'm gonna watch for a while". One guy didn't even have shoes one and was trying to tell the police something crucial. He was carrying a dish too. The car not on fire even felt damaged. The owner wanted someone to fix it with his eyes. (The end of this blog refrenced Dane Cook and if you aren't familiar with his comedy - rent the DVD. It's golden). Dane is a good name.

I'm Home Now

Hello All,
I'm back from Panama City, FL. Did you miss me? Please don't answer that. The important thing is that I'm back on line. It was a rough 5 days not being connected, but I'm ok. Do you have a skype Username? If so - give it to me. If you don't know what I'm referring to you have not been checking my blog daily and I'm hurt.

So Bart has made us a Google Group for Ultimate Frisbee Sundays. Smart boy. I guess if you didn't get his e-mail and want to be on this group list, e-mail him. It's really great though - you can change the settings to only read postings on line and not get a million e-mails regarding how great everybody thinks they are. And you'll know when we'll be playing next.

I'll have more great things soon. My space on the web is slowly expanding and I'll have more to report in a little while.Posted by Hello

Friday, March 18, 2005

Ok so it wasn't so much a busy day, but a day for recovery. Breakfast Club Friday is every Friday at work so somebody else fed me this morning which was good 'cause otherwise bkft would have been skipped for sure.
So the day was down (morning after st. patty's can't really ever be "up")
then up - free bkft
then down - picasa and my powerbook are not destined to be together. But I give my powerbook all the love it needs.
up again - thanks to cassi I got a cheap server for a year for up to 3 url's. I own www.arichards.com which I may well never ever use but I have the option there. Currently, blog offers all I need.

And now it's Friday, 5pm so all looks good from here.
I'm off to PC Training Center tomorrow morning, not as a rower, but as a coach. Swim test, check. Third practices, check. I'm a hard ass of a coach. So that will be my next week.

Since the photo program suggestion I gave you wasn't as amazing as previously predicted (though if you have a pc - i still totally recomend it), here is something else:

SKYPE. You may have heard of it. Internet Telephony. You need speakers and a mic, but you can call other computers for free - land lines cost money. My Uncle speaks to his daughter in England that way! It's great, and it works with MAC OS X (like most everything else now except the one freakin program I fell in love with - ok...I gotta stop thinking that way or I may leave work on a "down")

When do tax returns get deposited?

shout-out

Woah! Big shout-out from Cassi welcoming me to the blog-squad. I'm a little nervous now that people may actually be looking at this.
I have to say I'm really loving blog. It gives me so much to do at work (blogging and reading your blogs) and I can keep up with everybody's life. I really hope I can get a wireless connection next week at PC. I'm not sure what I would do 5 days without internet. Who am I and what have I become?

Need a photo program?

I really like Picasa. It has cool effects that are easy to use and it seems to organize well. Though my photo library is small at work. We'll see how it handles my mess of digital photos at home.
Just thought I'd share this with everyone as it has made me happy.

I'm really liking blogging. Not only does it get me through work (posting and reading others blogs) but I get to keep in touch with peoples lives.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

And Happy kick-off-of-the-basketball-NCAA-tourney day.
So far, I've got 2 out of 4 games wrong on my braket at work. Not bad. I've got GT winning it all of course. So do people really drink green beer today? If so I definately want to be on that.

That's all I got. If you need more, check out one of the "links I love" on the left column. They provide entertainment for me. I'm sure I'll have many pretty pics to post and many exciting stories to tell next week when I'm in PC whipping those GT crew freshman into shape! Don't worry folks, I'll be sure to talk up the "good old days" when we rowed through ice and put all the mens shoes in the middle of the river on a raft and well - basically did everything else awesome you can think of. Here I am.

I have arrived. Though my blogspot will probably end up being a conglomerate of all my friends Blogs, I found myself tempted to have my own. My interests don't stretch much further than shopping, rowing, drinking, flying kites, annoying Bart and now blogging, but I'm sure I'll find numerous ways to fill up this site. Well, here goes nothing!

Beware - this template may change often. I can't find one I'm completely happy with. OH! And one more thing. I'm a bad speller. That's it. There is no way around it so deal with it and please don't expect much from me in that region. I'll probably have lots of pictures on here 'cause pictures are fun and are prettier than my bad spelling and inproper grammer. I might should work on that (little bit of Melissa for you there).

OH, and I'm trying to think of a better URL. So this address may change, but noone really knows about it yet so those of you not reading this don't really care anyways.

I'm Working Here

Working on this template that is
